Timlin Joins Derry City - Ipswich Town News
Released first-year pro Mark Timlin has joined Derry City, who play in the Republic of Ireland's Airtricity Premier Division.
Last month, former Irish U16 international winger Timlin, 19, was told he wouldn’t be offered new terms by the Blues when his contract is up at the end of the season, along with David October, Jordan Adekunle, Tom Winter and Jonny Leddy. None of the five had made a first team appearance.
October, who spent time on loan at Histon earlier in the season, hopes to join a student athlete programme at a university in the United States.
Also currently with Derry City looking to win a contract is former Town midfielder Cormac Burke, who was released by the Blues a year ago.
