Pulis Hoping Williams Breaks Into Town XI - Ipswich Town News
Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis is hoping on-loan Eagle Jonny Williams breaks into the Town starting line-up in the remaining weeks of his month with the Blues.
The 20-year-old missed the Birmingham game due to a hamstring injury before coming on as a sub at Middlesbrough and Yeovil.
Pulis told the Croydon Advertiser that he is keeping a close eye on Williams’s progress and will decide whether his loan can be extended when his current spell is up at the end of March.
"I was on my way down to watch him on Tuesday,” he said. "Jonny needs to play football and obviously we want him to get the time in, that’s important.
"We hope he gets it and he starts games for Ipswich playing in the Championship. It’s a tough, tough league.
"For Jonny to get some games as a starter will be brilliant for him. We won’t decide on his future until the loan move ends.”
