McCarthy Confident Williams Will Stay - Ipswich Town News
Boss Mick McCarthy says he’s confident that on-loan Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams will remain at Portman Road for the rest of the season. The 20-year-old’s initial month with the Blues is up at the end of March.
Williams made the first start of his spell during Saturday’s 3-1 home defeat to Wigan Athletic following two appearances from the bench.
"Jonny was excellent on Saturday. He had a really good game,” McCarthy told the club website.
"I think if he is playing games then we can keep him. That was the agreement but they do have the option to take him back, which is normal.”
