Some of the relevant parties have made comments on today's big transfer news and it seems the deal is one that is being taken seriously by Huddersfield. Their manager Steve Bruce said: "We have had a firm inquiry from Ipswich to see
what the situation is on Marcus Stewart, but that's as far as it's gone. They are obviously aware of the stories linking Bradford with a move for him and are keen to check out his availability." Bradford made an offer for Stewart which was not accepted by the Terriers.
Meanwhile at the Ipswich end of the deal all are as tight-lipped as we have come to expect. George Burley said: "I can't be drawn on it, or on other speculation regarding players who are under contract."
Whilst chairman David Sheepshanks said: "Our manager George Burley and I have taken the same line on all these various player speculation stories. We are not prepared to discuss players who are under contact at their clubs."
