Manager Mick McCarthy has confirmed that 18-year-old has been offered pro terms by the Blues despite the injury, which will sideline him for between seven and nine months.
Elsewhere, Elliott Hewitt and Freddie Veseli's loan clubs Gillingham and Bury are in action this evening.
