Meanwhile, second-year scholar Kyle Hammond (pictured) will undergo surgery on his ruptured anterior cruciate knee ligament this afternoon.

Manager Mick McCarthy has confirmed that 18-year-old has been offered pro terms by the Blues despite the injury, which will sideline him for between seven and nine months.

Elsewhere, Elliott Hewitt and Freddie Veseli's loan clubs Gillingham and Bury are in action this evening.

Hewitt’s Gills travel to take on the MK Dons in League One, while Veseli’s Shakers are at Newport County in League Two.
