Williams Loan Extension Confirmed - Ipswich Town News
Town have confirmed that Jonny Williams's loan from Crystal Palace has been extended until the end of the Championship season.
The 20-year-old Wales international's initial month with the Blues was up today but the Eagles have agreed to allow Williams to remain at Portman Road, albeit with a 24-hour recall clause.
As long as that recall isn't activated, Williams's spell with the Blues could be extended for a second time into a third month if Town reach the play-offs. Emergency loans are limited to 93 days, which would take Williams beyond the date of the final on Saturday 24th May.
Earlier today, Palace boss Tony Pulis said he would assess the fitness of Marouane Chamakh and Dwight Gayle before making a decision on whether to allow Williams to remain with the Blues.
Williams made four starts and two sub appearances and scored once during a highly successful first month at Town.
