Town’s U18 are in action at home to Nottingham Forest at Playford Road on Saturday morning (KO 11am).
Academy second-year scholar Amir Berkane has returned to the club after his spell training with Colchester's U18s and is understood not to have been offered terms by the League One side. Midfielder Berkane has been told he will not be kept on at Town at the end of the season.
Elsewhere, Freddie Veseli plays the final game of his loan spell with Bury as the Shakers face Exeter at Gigg Lane in League Two on Saturday.
Skipper Carlos Edwards and Millwall could do the Blues a favour at Nottingham Forest.
Elliott Hewitt and Gillingham face Rotherham at home in League One, while Jack Marriott and Woking are at Hereford in the Skrill Premier.
Jack Doherty and Waterford United are in Airtricity League First Division action against Longford Town, also on Saturday.
