Town are seemingly denying that there is any truth in the suggestion that Richard Naylor will be moving to Huddersfield as part of the deal for Marcus Stewart. It was reported yesterday that the copper-topped striker was to be part of a £2.8 million deal for the former Bristol Rovers man.
It also appears that Town's initial bid has been rejected by the Terriers. They have also refused a bid from Bradford and may be trying to stage an auction to get as higher price for the player s possible. It is very unlikely that George Burley and David Sheepshanks would pay higher than their own valuation for the striker, however a second bid might not be ruled out.
There is a possibility that the Naylor element to the deal as reported yesterday might not have been to Steve Bruce's taste or that the Town striker didn't want to go back up North. Either way it seems that he was involved in the deal regardless of what is being said now.
