Standing Ovation for Veseli After Last Bury Game - Ipswich Town News
On-loan Town right-back Freddie Veseli was given a standing ovation after helping Bury to a 2-0 home victory over Exeter in the final game of his loan spell with the League Two side.
"There was a standing ovation for Veseli and it was quite emotional, as everyone realised how much he's done," manager David Flitcroft said. "He should be proud of his performances - League Two can be tough.”
Keeper Brian Jensen added: "Veseli needs to go back to Ipswich and say 'if you want a clean sheet, if you want the play offs, play me'."
Veseli himself added on Twitter: "A massive thank you to all Bury FC fans, players and staff for my time spent here. Thanks for the support, had a great time here!"
The 21-year-old, who signed a two-year deal with the Blues following his release by Manchester United last summer, made 18 appearances during his 93-day spell at Gigg Lane.
