Player of the Year to be Named on Saturday - Ipswich Town News

Voting for this season’s Supporters’ Player of the Year will take place around the ground prior to Saturday’s home game against Doncaster Rovers with the winner presented with their award at the Player Awards Evening later in the day (from 7pm).

Look out for representatives of the Supporters Club with their clipboards wearing fetching yellow tabards based near to the programme kiosks. Online voting has started on the Supporters Club’s website.

The victor will be announced at the Player Awards Evening, which will be held in the Sir Bobby Robson Suite, with some tickets still available.

The Town first team squad and coaching staff, including manager Mick McCarthy and his assistant Terry Connor, will once again be in attendance.

During the evening, presentations will be made to the Player of the Year, all the players who made their full debut during the season, as well as the Academy Player of the Year, along with a special presentation to the Young Fan of the Year. The evening is also a great opportunity to collect autographs and have photos taken with players.

Tickets to the Player Awards Evening cost £20 and include the presentations and a buffet. They are available from officialitsc@btinternet.com or by phone on 07968 876504. Further details can be found on www.itfcsupporters.co.uk.

Meanwhile, Legends will be open until 7pm after Saturday’s match for anyone, regardless of whether they are attending the Player Awards Evening. It will also open until 7pm on Easter Monday when Town take on fellow play-off challengers AFC Bournemouth.
