Free Kids' Tickets and Family Fun Day at Bournemouth Game - Ipswich Town News

Town are giving away 1,650 free tickets to fans aged under 16 for Easter Monday’s crucial home game against fellow play-off challengers AFC Bournemouth, when the club are holding a Family Fun Day.

Sponsors the East of England Co-op are making 1,500 of the free tickets for family areas of Portman Road, available only from Planet Blue, limited to five per customer number. They have also made 150 tickets available to young Bournemouth fans.

Roger Grosvenor, executive officer retail at the East of England Co-op, told the club site: "The East of England Co-op is delighted to be supporting the Ipswich Town Fun Day with free tickets for children and some goodies. This gives a great opportunity for families to spend fun time together at a premier event.”

Rosie Richardson, Town’s director of sales, added: "I am delighted that we have been able to work with the East of England Co-op to help make this a great family matchday.”

Prices in the family areas of Portman Road are discounted for the game: £20 for adults, £15 for concessions — including seniors, students and under-20s - and £3 for juniors.

Town’s Family Fun Day will be held on the FieldTurf and will be available to all fans between 11am and 1pm with access to the event via Gate 1A. From 1pm onwards, only fans who have tickets for the East of England Co-op Stand will have access to the Fieldturf.

The activities on offer will include human football table, a penalty shoot-out, Seaworld Castle, Amazon Castle, an inflatable assault course, rodeo/surf bull, Namco Funscape and big calorie shoot out, as well as facepainters, while food and refreshments will be available in the shape of Nando’s, Hadley’s ice cream, popcorn and more.

In addition, the East of England Co-op will be handing out hundreds of Cadbury’s Creme Eggs, as well as Goodness Gang toys with two characters, Alex Apple and Max Mushroom, making guest appearances. Woody Bear from Pleasurewood Hills will also be along.

Meanwhile, Town’s new adidas-manufactured away kit will be unveiled next Monday ahead of the Bournemouth game. The new kit, which current rumour suggests will be a return to the popular orange of past seasons, will be available for viewing in Planet Blue. The new home kit will be revealed soon afterwards.
