Town Down to Ninth - Ipswich Town News
Town have dropped to ninth in the Championship following Reading’s 2-0 home victory over Middlesbrough this evening.
The Royals have climbed back to sixth, two points ahead of the Blues and also have a goal difference six higher than Town’s.
All the clubs in the play-off fight have two matches remaining except for fifth-placed Wigan, who have three. Watford in 12th also have a game in hand but are now seven points off sixth and look out of contention.
Meanwhile, academy keeper Michael Crowe was an unused sub as the Wales U19s beat Montenegro 2-0 in a friendly at Dragon Park, Newport this afternoon.
The Welsh youngsters, who are coached by former Blues midfielder Geraint Williams, take on the same opposition again on Thursday. Wales are playing the games to prepare for their UEFA elite round qualifiers in the summer in Portugal.
