Hogg Called Up - Ipswich Town News
Chris Hogg has become the latest Town player to be called up to an England squad. Hogg is included in the U16s squad playing Slovakia on February 13th at Stevenage Borough's Broadhall Way. Yesterday Darren Bent and Matt Bloomfield were called up to the England U19s.
Town signed Hogg from York in the summer and the central defender was included on the bench for Monday's FA Youth Cup match with Coventry after regular displays for the U17s.
The U16s are run by Dick Bate who said of his team: "Slovakia are a good side and will be an interesting proposition for our boys as they continue their learning curve. We've got some big competitive games coming up and this friendly will be vital as we build towards the UEFA Championship Preliminary Round in March."
