Patterson on Target for New Zealand - Ipswich Town News
Academy midfielder Monty Patterson was on target as New Zealand’s U20s beat Fiji 5-0 in a friendly in Auckland.
Patterson, 17, who starts a two-year scholarship at Playford Road in July, netted in first-half injury time with his team already 2-0 up.
The Junior All Whites play Fiji again in another friendly on Tuesday and then Papua New Guinea on Thursday.
The games are part of New Zealand's early preparations for the 2015 U20 World Cup which they are hosting.
