Williams: I Loved Every Minute - Ipswich Town News

Loanee Jonny Williams says he loved every minute of his time with the Blues. The Crystal Palace man joined Town at the end of February and went on to make 11 starts and two sub appearances, scoring once.

"I loved every minute of my time at Ipswich,” the 20-year-old Wales international told the club site.

"It was good to finish the season on a high against Sheffield Wednesday but it was a real shame we didn’t make the play-offs.

"I can’t thank the manager, Mick McCarthy, enough for giving me an opportunity and I’d like to thank everyone else at the club for making me feel so welcome.

"It felt like I’d been at the club ages and it was a great experience. The supporters were fantastic to me and Ipswich has a special place in my heart.”

McCarthy has said he’d love Williams to return for a further loan next season but doesn’t know whether that will be a possibility.

The player is similarly in the dark about his 2014/15: "I’m going back to Palace now and looking forward to that. My main priority is to get in the team there but who knows what will happen in the future. I don’t really know where I will be playing my football next season.”
