Murphy and Green in Ireland Squad - Ipswich Town News

Town striker Daryl Murphy and loan midfielder Paul Green have been named in a 32-man provisional Republic of Ireland squad for four friendlies during May and June.

Ireland face Turkey in Dublin on May 25th, Italy at Craven Cottage on May 31st, Costa Rica in Philadelphia on June 6th and Portugal in New Jersey on June 10th. The final squad will be named prior to the squad meeting up on May 22nd.

Murphy will be hoping to add to his 10 caps — and score his first international goal — having made his first appearance in nearly six years when he came on as a sub in a 2-1 friendly defeat to Serbia in March.

Loanee Green, who Town manager Mick McCarthy hasn’t ruled out offering a contract later in the summer with his Leeds terms up, has previously been capped 21 times, scoring one goal.
