Manilow at Portman Road - Ipswich Town News

Portman Road is hosting veteran American singer-songwriter Barry Manilow this evening. Tickets have sold slowly and are currently being offered at half price.

Regardless of ticket sales, Town have a guaranteed income from the concert with a third party promoting the concert and hiring the stadium from the club. Doors open at 5pm with the support act on stage at 7.30pm.

Meanwhile, Town’s U16s drew 3-3 in a friendly against Spurs at White Hart Lane yesterday with Isaac Maynard, Nick Ingram and Ross Meldrum on the scoresheet. Earlier, the Blues’ U14s had lost 2-1 to the same opposition.

Elsewhere, former Town boss Roy Keane’s Woodbridge house is on the market again for £3.5 million.

Keane, who is understood to be in the process of looking for a house close to his home town of Cork in addition to his base at Alderley Edge in Cheshire, lived in Woodbridge for much of his time as manager of the Blues before moving out in the summer of 2011.

The house has been rented out since then having failed to sell when initially put on the market.
