Teams Wanted for One Community Cup - Ipswich Town News

Teams are being sought for the One Community Cup multi-ethnic five-a-side tournament being held at Suffolk New Academy Sports Centre on Saturday 26th July.

Each squad will be made up of eight players with four members of a nominated nationality, with around 15 to 18 ‘national’ teams expected to take part.

The competition is being organised by PCSO Francis Howard on behalf of Suffolk Police, along with Phanuel Mutumburi of ISCRE and Gary Pinyoun of the Suffolk FA. The Francesco Hair Salon and Asda are sponsoring.

"The principal idea of the football tournament is to bring communities together, breaking down barriers and encouraging a greater understanding of the different cultures, religions and ways of life of the people of Ipswich,” Howard told TWTD.

Full details and contacts can be found on the application form, which can be downloaded here.
