Murphy Forced Out of Internationals - Ipswich Town News
Town striker Daryl Murphy is returning early from the Republic of Ireland’s summer internationals after suffering a thigh injury.
The 31-year-old is coming back to Portman Road for treatment and will miss the US-based friendlies against Costa Rica on Friday and Portugal next Tuesday.
Murphy won his 11th cap as a sub in last week’s 2-1 defeat to Turkey in Dublin and was an unused sub during Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Italy at Craven Cottage.
