Former loanee Paul Green says he’s still waiting for Town to offer him a contract for the season ahead. Green, 31, is a free agent after being released by Leeds United at the end of 2013/14 having spent the final three months of the season on loan with the Blues.
"My agent has spoken to Mick [McCarthy] but no offer has been made yet,” the midfielder told the EADT.
"I have spoken to a couple of other teams but nothing is certain yet. It’s a case of wait and see, but Ipswich would definitely be up there at the top of my list."
Speaking after the final game of the season McCarthy said he was unlikely to offer deals to Green and other loanees and short-term signings until later on in the summer.
