Webster Completes Millwall Move - Ipswich Town News
Ex-Yeovil central defender Byron Webster has completed his switch to Millwall, signing a two-year deal. The 27-year-old was watched by the Blues, along with his former team-mate Luke Ayling, during the latter stages of 2013/14, while Leeds, Rotherham and Scunthorpe had also been linked.
Right-back or midfielder Ayling, who like Webster is out of contract this summer, is understood to have been of greater interest to Town. The Glovers would be due compensation for the ex-Arsenal youngster as he is only 22 years of age.
Meanwhile, Town duo Tyrone Mings and Frank Nouble are currently taking part in some pre-pre-season training at St George’s Park, the National Football Centre. The pair have enrolled in a Michael Johnson Performance course.
The Blues squad are due to return to Playford Road on Thursday and Friday to undergo tests and be assessed ahead of the start of pre-season proper next Monday.
