Stewart Out to Grab More Goals - Ipswich Town News

New signing Cameron Stewart will be looking to add more goals to his game in his time with the Blues. The winger put pen to paper on a three-year deal with an option for a further season earlier today.

"Once I knew there was an opportunity to come here, things moved on very quickly,” the 23-year-old, whose permanent switch to Leeds following his release by Hull City broke down, told the club site.

"I wanted to get down here and meet the players and get going as soon as possible and I’m delighted it has all been sorted out so fast.

"I have spent a lot of the last four years playing in the Championship so I know what it’s about.

"I know Ipswich were close to the play-offs last season and it’s looks to be a club going forward. Hopefully I can play my part in that continuing.

"As well as helping to create chances for the team, I want to chip in with a few goals myself. I scored three goals in 10 or so games for Charlton last season and I want to go out and do better than that at Ipswich.

"I don’t know too many of the lads here but they have welcomed me into the club and I’m really looking forward to getting going now.”

Overall, former England U17, U19 and U20 international Stewart has scored five senior goals in 78 starts and 28 substitute appearances.
