Striker Daryl Murphy has signed a new two-year deal with an option for a further season. The 31-year-old scored 13 goals during 2013/14 and broke back into the Republic of Ireland side for the first time in nearly six years after joining Town on a permanent basis last summer, having previously spent three spells on loan.
"I’m really enjoying my football here so I’m obviously delighted to have signed a new contract,” the former Waterford United, Sunderland and Celtic man told the club site.
"I’ve said before, Ipswich Town feels like home for me — both on and off the pitch. My family love the area and that’s very important to me.
"We are making progress as a football club and the challenge now is to continue that next season and hopefully get into that top six. That’s the target.”
