Derby Set to Switch Back to Saturday - Ipswich Town News
Suffolk Constabulary are recommending that Town’s home derby against Norwich should switch back to a 12.15pm kick-off on Saturday 23rd August following a meeting of interested parties this afternoon. The game had previously moved from 3pm on the Saturday to noon on Sunday 24th August.
The clubs, the police and local councils were amongst those attending the meeting to discuss matters relating to the game, including the rail engineering work which is taking place between Norwich and Ipswich on the Sunday and the resultant lack of trains.
The scheduling of the fixture will finally be confirmed early next week and now seems almost certain to be on the Saturday at 12.15pm, even if Sky Sports decide to show the game live.
