French Striker Hints at Town Trial - Ipswich Town News
French striker Achille Campion has hinted that he is on trial with the Blues.
The 24-year-old spent a fortnight on trial with Sheffield Wednesday earlier in the month before joining up with Yeovil at the weekend and scoring in a friendly against Reading.
Campion has kept his Twitter followers up with his movements while in the UK and this evening enigmatically tweeted "Ipswich Town”.
Born in Levallois, 6ft 4in tall Campion was with USL Dunkerque as a youngster before moving to the US and joining Baton Rouge Capitals and college side the Belhaven Blazers.
A spell with the University of California, Santa Barbara followed, during which time he was eyed by MLS scouts, before he briefly joined fourth tier Swedish side Norrby IF earlier in the year.
Town already have Hungarian striker Bálint Bajner and French-Mauritian midfielder Kévin Bru on trial this week.
