U21s Now Face Coggeshall as U18s Take on Southend - Ipswich Town News

Town will now be fielding an U21 side in Saturday’s friendly away against Coggeshall Town (KO 2pm) with the U18s facing Southend at Playford Road (KO 11am).

The U18s were initially down to play against Coggeshall, who they beat 6-0 in a friendly last summer.

The Blues may include trialists against the Kent Blaxill Essex and Suffolk Border League side, whose chairman Graeme Smith’s Chelmsford Plastic Warehouse sponsor Town’s U13s.

Meanwhile, French trialist Achille Campion is reported to have moved on having played 45 minutes at Braintree on Tuesday. Yeovil, with whom he was previously on trial, appear keen to take another look at the striker.

The three Shelbourne youngsters who also featured against the Iron have returned to Ireland with midfielder Adam McDonnell, 17, who previously spent time at the academy last year, hinting on Twitter that he may have impressed while at Portman Road.
