McCarthy Pleased With Trialists - Ipswich Town News
Blues boss Mick McCarthy was pleased with on-trial pair Balint Bajner and Kevin Bru during Tuesday’s 2-1 victory at Southend and will continue to look at the duo.
Hungarian striker Bajner, who was previously with Borussia Dortmund’s B side, netted Towns’s opening goal and impressed McCarthy: "I thought he did well. He’s done well in every game, I feel.
"I’m really pleased with him. He’s only 23 and I think he’s got improvement in him. We’ll see, he’s done OK. We’ll continue to monitor him, definitely.
As for French-Mauritian midfielder Bru, he added: "Kevin’s done fine, I’ve been delighted with him. He’s a really good player, I think. The game the other day was only his second game in the last three or four months, so he was feeling a bit shattered.
"I wanted to get Teddy Bishop on, that’s why I took him off. Kevin’s done really well, I’m very pleased with him.”
