Holland's 200 - Ipswich Town News
Matt Holland will make his 200th consecutive league appearance for Town tonight as the Blues take on Fulham at Portman Road. With Middlesbrough winning last night Town need at least a draw to take them out of the bottom three once more.
Although Holland has now missed a couple of cup games over the last two seasons it is still an impressive acheivement for the Town skipper. He puts it down to his desire to play and a bit of good fortune: "I suppose it is an unusual record in this day and age, and I have been very lucky as far as injuries and suspensions go. But I have done it and it's something of which I am very proud. It comes from a desire to play. I hate missing games."
