Ballot Latest - Ipswich Town News

Town Commercial Director Paul Clouting has written to all ballot members to inform them that from now on there will be more tickets available to them. Recently there had been a number of complaints from ballot members who said they had had either no tickets at all or very few this season.

Clouting said: "At the start of the season it was confirmed that due to the development work in the North Stand only 500 tickets would be available for the ballot until the lower tier was reopened. There are 8,045 supporters in the ballot, which has meant that opportunities have been limited to the occasional league and cup game. We are sorry about this, however, with the Lower Tier North Stand now partially open, the situation is much improved."

Clouting continued saying that since the North Stand came back into commission around 2,000 tickets have been available in the ballot. The Southampton ballot game is to be carried out in the week commencing 28th January 2002 with more than 2600 tickets in it. As more parts of the North Stand comes into use more tickets will be available.

Currently most ballot tickets are in the Greene King Stand with about 500 in the North.

Clouting also revealed that on occasion the club do have small numbers of tickets returned. These go on gemeral sale from the ticket office. A second ballot for these is impractical.
