McCarthy Confirms Nouble Available - Ipswich Town News

Town boss Mick McCarthy has confirmed that striker Frank Nouble is available for loan or a permanent move.

McCarthy says the 22-year-old has slipped down the pecking order: "I spoke to Frank Nouble yesterday and he’s available for loan or for transfer.

"He’s not daft, he’s seen other players coming in and I wouldn’t treat him any way other than with respect because he’s worked hard for us. But he’s now available because we’ve got four strikers.”

The Blues boss says the January 2013 £25,000 signing from Wolves needs to go elsewhere to play matches: "He wants to play in somebody’s first team. He doesn’t want to be a sub.

"He’s had a good spell at that and when he’s come in he’s done reasonably well, certain games better than others.

"I remember when we beat Palace 3-0 he ripped it up there for a time, and against Birmingham here. But it’s not been on a consistent basis.

"Other players have played in front of him, David McGoldrick and Murph, and he wants to play. So, if he can find himself a club we’ll all be happy.”
