On loan striker Richard Naylor celebrated his move to Millwall with a debut booking. The combative frontman played the full 90 minutes, but was said to have had a quiet game.

The Lions lost to ten-man Manchester City at Maine Road in a game played in front of just home fans. The two clubs had made an arrangement to avoid trouble.
