Patterson Wins Cap - Ipswich Town News
Academy midfielder Monty Patterson was in action for New Zealand’s U20s as they lost 1-0 to Chile in their second game at a four-team tournament in Qatar yesterday.
The 17-year-old, who joined the academy as a full-time scholar this summer and has already featured for the U21s, played the first 60 minutes as he won his seventh cap at U20 level
Patterson was a late call into the squad after Joel Stevens was drafted into the senior set-up and missed a 4-0 defeat to the hosts in the opening game. The Junior All Whites face Morocco in their final match on Sunday.
