Striker Daryl Murphy will be hoping he wins his 13th full cap when the Republic of Ireland begin their Euro 2016 campaign with a game against Georgia in Tbilisi this afternoon (Sky Sports 5/HD5 4pm).
The Blues frontman is likely to be on the bench for Martin O’Neill and Roy Keane’s side, having come on in the 85th minute of Wednesday’s 2-0 friendly victory over Oman in Dublin.
Loanee striker Conor Sammon was included in the provisional 36-man squad before being left out of the final party, but the Dubliner remained on standby. Ex-Blue Jon Walters is in the squad.
