Loan Duo Help Millers to Draw - Ipswich Town News

On-loan Town duo Paul Taylor and Anthony Wordsworth both started for next week’s opponents Rotherham as they drew 1-1 at home to Charlton on Saturday.

Sub Luciano Becchio equalised on 70, Johann Berg Gudmundsson having put the Addicks ahead on 27.

Wordsworth played the full 90 minutes, while Taylor was subbed on 68. The pair are ineligible for the match against their parent club at Portman Road.

The Rotherham starting line-up also included former Blues keeper Scott Loach, who was making his league debut for the Millers, as well as ex-loanees Frazer Richardson and Paul Green.

Elsewhere, Frank Nouble played the full 90 minutes for Coventry as they lost 1-0 at Rochdale in League One but Freddie Veseli missed Port Vale’s 2-1 home victory over Barnsley due to a cracked rib.

Striker Jack Marriott was an unused sub as his spell on loan at League Two Carlisle came to an end.

Manager Mick McCarthy has confirmed that the 20-year-old will now be returning to Portman Road having made three starts and two sub appearances for the Cumbrians, without scoring.

Young midfielder Jack Willbye played the full 90 minutes for Ryman League Premier Division Bury Town as they lost 4-1 at Metropolitan Police.
