Marriott Rejoining Woking - Ipswich Town News

Vanarama Conference Premier side Woking have announced that Town striker Jack Marriott is rejoining them on loan for a third spell.

The 20-year-old, who will be at the Kingfield Stadium until January 4th, ended a month with League Two Carlisle at the weekend and played for Town's U21s in the 4-1 defeat to Huddersfield on Monday.

Marriott, who failed to net in three starts and two sub appearances with the Cumbrians, had two highly successful spells with the Cards last season, scoring 13 goals in 23 starts and one sub appearance.

Manager Mick McCarthy told the club site: "They know him well from his time there last season. He will play games there and I’m sure he will score goals.

"It’s better for his development to be there where there is a lot more at stake over the 90 minutes than staying here and playing for our U21s.

"He had a month at Carlisle and wasn’t getting the time on the pitch he really needs at this stage of his career. He’ll get that at Woking.”

The former Kettering Town schoolboy made his first senior start for the Blues in the Capital One Cup last month, having made two sub appearances in the Championship.
