Get Fit For Christmas at Portman Road - Ipswich Town News

Live Well Suffolk, the county’s free healthy lifestyle service, is holding the first session of a Get Fit and Healthy in Time For Christmas course for men at Town’s Portman Road next week.

The free course, which runs from Monday 6th October to Monday 22nd December, 1pm-2.30pm, aims to help men lose five per cent of their current weight over the next 12 weeks.

The course will explain the key elements required to lose weight in a healthy and sustainable way.

Live Well Suffolk also hope to dispel some of the common diet and exercise myths and provide the tools to manage weight going forward.

Sessions will run on a weekly basis and will be for a duration of one and a half hours. Each session consists of a one-hour educational component, followed by a 30-minute exercise session. Contact James Colchester on 01473 229294 to book your place or for further information.

Live Well Suffolk also work in partnership with The Gym Ipswich. Clients are being offered six weeks’ gym membership to help facilitate their weight loss.

Some clients don’t feel comfortable in the gym environment but as the gym offers group inductions, clients can use this with their Live Well coach and other members of the group.
