U18s Lose to Birmingham - Ipswich Town News
Town’s U18s fell to their second defeat of the season as Birmingham City came from behind to claim a 2-1 victory at Playford Road this morning.
Ronaldo Jones followed up after Sam Ford’s shot had been saved in the first half to put the Blues - who went in to the game top of their league - ahead but a goal in either half from David Popa saw the visitors to victory with Town sub Cemal Ramadan having hit the post with a freekick at 1-1.
The young Blues are now down to third in the Professional Development League Two South but are only a point behind Brentford and Cardiff ahead of them with a game in hand.
U18s: McDermid, Emmanuel, Wolfenden, Smith, Kenlock (Daly 66), Jones (Patterson 46), Blanchfield, Dozzell, Walton Owen (Ramadan 46), McLoughlin, Ford. Unused: Marsden, Ellis.
