Venus Latest Worry - Ipswich Town News
Mark Venus has emerged as a new injury worry ahead of Saturday's match with Liverpool. Venus had a reaction to his knee injury in Saturday's match at Everton, but it is likely that he and fellow injury worry Jermaine Wright (ankle) will be OK.
Town manager George Burley said: "It's nothing major and hopefully they will be OK after rest."
Both are missing training but this is purely precautionary. Burley was disappointed at the postponement of last night's reserve game which would have seen a number of senior players involved. Marcus Stewart and Martijn Reuser were both included in the starting line-up.
George Burley travels to Scotland tomorrow to be Sky's studio guest for the CIS Insurance Cup semi-final between Hibs and Ayr United, the club where Burley started his managerial career.
