Berra in Scotland Squad - Ipswich Town News

Town centre-half Christophe Berra has been named in the Scotland squad for their games against the Republic of Ireland and England later this month.

The Scots take on the Irish in an important Euro 2016 qualifier on Friday 14th November and then England in a friendly on Tuesday 18th November with both games being played at Celtic Park.

Berra, who has previously won 28 caps, scoring two goals, could face his Town room-mate Daryl Murphy, who is in the Irish squad for the qualifier along with Blues loanee Conor Sammon, while David McGoldrick could also be added to the party if the paperwork relating to his qualification is confirmed in time.

Ireland are currently second in Group D on seven points from three games behind leaders Poland on goal difference, with Scotland fourth on four behind third-placed Germany with everyone having played three games.
