Town striker David McGoldrick has been added to the Republic of Ireland squad for their Euro 2016 qualifier against Scotland on Friday and their friendly with the USA next Tuesday.
Manager Martin O’Neill had previously said that the uncapped McGoldrick and Derby’s Cyrus Christie would be added to the squad if the paperwork relating to their qualification was completed on time and the documentation relating to the duo was finally sorted last week.
Fellow striker Daryl Murphy is also included but Blues loanee Conor Sammon doesn't make the final 27-man party having been named in the provisional squad but is on standby.
Christophe Berra's Scotland host Ireland at Celtic Park on Friday, with the USA at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin four days later.
