Smith's New Zealand Lose - Ipswich Town News
Town centre-half Tommy Smith and New Zealand were beaten 2-0 by Thailand in Bangkok earlier this afternoon.
Smith, who was winning his 29th full cap for the All Whites, picked up a late booking for dissent.
Elsewhere, 17-year-old midfielder Adam McDonnell won his second cap and made his first start for the Republic of Ireland U19s as they drew 1-1 with Switzerland in Waterford in the final game of their European Championships qualifying group.
The Swiss won the group but Ireland also go through to the next stage of qualifying.
