Dozzell Could Win Cap - Ipswich Town News

Academy schoolboy Andre Dozzell is on the bench for the England U16s for tonight’s final Victory Shield match against Scotland at Yeovil’s Huish Park (Sky Sports 5, 8pm).

Dozzell, 15, who will start a full-time scholarship at Playford Road next summer, scored the winning goal as England beat Northern Ireland 1-0 at Dungannon earlier in the month.

Shortly after that game his dad, former Blues midfielder and current academy coach Jason, told TWTD: "A brilliant moment for me, watching him run out for the England U16s and then to top it off by getting the winner. I’m a very proud father.”

A win tonight could see England lift the Victory Shield depending on the result of the earlier game between Northern Ireland and Wales (Sky Sports 5, 6pm).
