McCarthy Considering Loan Move - Ipswich Town News
Boss Mick McCarthy says he could look at bringing in another loanee to replace the injured Jonny Williams prior to next Thursday’s ‘emergency’ loan deadline. The Palace man is out until at least mid-December with a groin problem when the Eagles may utilise their 24-hour recall.
"It’s possible that we will look to bring someone in having lost Jonny,” McCarthy told the club site.
"It suited us having Jonny playing behind a front three and that is role we could look at. I’m not sure we have another one that can do that role just like that.
"Other than that, it’s difficult trying to bring players in at this stage when they might come here and not play straight away.
"If someone is prepared to come in and be part of a very good squad and take their chance then maybe something could happen.”
