Town's Marcus Bent has been named the Premiership's Player of the Month. Thankfully Town boss George Burley has avoided the poison chalice that is the Manager of the Month award, that dubious honour going to Gordon Strachan.
Bent scored six goals in seven games during the month and said on receiving the award: "We're working hard and everyone is happy. The changing-room atmosphere is really good. I want to play in the Premiership. Me signing for Ipswich, thinking they were going down, wouldn't have made any sense. I've still got a lot to learn. I'm not thinking of England just yet."
