Thijssen New Brisbane Boss - Ipswich Town News
Blues legend Frans Thijssen has been named the new boss of Australian A-League side the Brisbane Roar.
Thijssen, 62, takes over as interim head coach for the rest of the season, taking over from Mike Mulvey, who was sacked after the Roar lost five of their first six games.
Former Dutch international midfielder Thijssen has previously managed Vitesse, De Graafschap and Fortuna Sittard in Holland and Malmo in Sweden, but in recent years has been a youth coach with the likes of FC Twente and latterly in Qatar.
