Mings and Noel Hunt Doubts For Boro Clash - Ipswich Town News

Tyrone Mings and Noel Hunt have emerged as doubts for Saturday’s home game against Middlesbrough. Luke Hyam remains sidelined with his achilles injury but Stephen Hunt is back having missed the trip to Bolton with a virus.

"Stephen Hunt is fine, he’s trained today,” manager Mick McCarthy said. "Sadly, Noel Hunt got a kick yesterday and he’s a bit of a doubt but we’ll wait until tomorrow to see about him.

"Luke Hyam’s not fit and Tyrone Mings has got an infected toe, so we’ll have to wait and see about him tomorrow.”

McCarthy is hopeful that Hyam, who hasn’t played since the Bournemouth match almost a month ago, will be available over the Christmas period.

"It’s difficult because the longer it goes, the harder it is to get back, of course,” he added. "But hopefully he’ll be OK. His achilles has settled down.

"They are difficult to treat because you drive a car, you walk, you do anything and it all goes through it and it just keeps aggravating it unfortunately. Hopefully, he’ll be back asap.”
