Liverpool are reportedly leading the chase for 18-year-old Town midfielder Teddy Bishop.
According to The Mirror, Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham are also eyeing the academy product but the Reds are said to be most keen to land the £10 million-rated youngster.
Town are reported to have rebuffed an enquiry from the Merseyside club earlier this month but the paper claims the Blues may be more willing to do a deal in the summer.
Earlier in the month, boss Mick McCarthy said he was aware of Premier League interest in Bishop with scouts from all the top flight’s big names having been regular visitors to Portman Road to keep tabs on Tyrone Mings in any case: "[Teddy] is attracting almost as much interest as Tyrone Mings.”
McCarthy has also repeatedly stated that he expects no one to be sold during the January transfer window, barring the club receiving an "astronomical bid”.
In September, Bishop signed a new contract running to 2016 with an option for a further season.
Meanwhile, Colchester United are believed to be targeting Blues striker Jack Marriott to replace Freddie Sears, who joined Town on Friday. Marriott, 20, is currently on loan at Woking.
