Blues Amongst Quartet Linked With Grealish - Ipswich Town News

Town, Wolves, Brentford and Nottingham Forest are all reported to be interested in signing Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish on loan.

According to the Birmingham Mail the 19-year-old Irish U21 international could move out on loan next week following Villa’s FA Cup tie against Bournemouth, although his availability may depend on manager Paul Lambert adding other players to his squad.

Solihull-born Grealish is highly-rated and is interesting the England set-up, having been capped by Ireland, for whom he qualifies through his father, at U17, U18 and U21 levels.

Grealish has made 10 sub appearances in the Premier League for Villa, in addition to two cup starts.

Last season he played alongside Town keeper Bartosz Bialkowski on loan at Notts County in League One and made 33 starts and five sub appearances, scoring five goals.

Grealish, who has been with Villa since he was six and signed a new contract until June 2018 in October, operates either as a winger or in the role between the midfield and strikers filled by Crystal Palace’s Jonny Williams during his loan spell at Portman Road earlier in the season.
