Skuse Returns at Brighton - Ipswich Town News

Cole Skuse’s return to the side in place of Stephen Hunt is Town’s only change as the Blues take on Brighton at the Amex Stadium. A win will take the Blues to the top of the Championship.

Skuse, who has missed the last three games having been ill, will take up his usual central midfield role with Jay Tabb switching to the left. New signings Paddy Kenny and Freddie Sears are on the bench.

First-year academy scholar Kundai Benyu travelled with the senior squad first time but was left out of the 18 along with Cameron Stewart.

Former Blues loanee David Stockdale starts for the home side, who are without Craig Mackail-Smith (ankle), Jake Forster-Caskey (hip) and Greg Halford (calf) due to injury and suspended defender Lewis Dunk, their top scorer.

Brighton: Stockdale, Bruno, Greer, Hughes, Bennett, Holla, Ince, Calderon, Teixeira, Baldock, O'Grady. Subs: Walton, Rea, Chicksen, McCourt, March, Colunga, Best.

Town: Bialkowski, Chambers (c), Mings, Berra, Smith, Skuse, Bru, Anderson, Tabb, N Hunt, Murphy. Subs: Kenny, Parr, Clarke, S Hunt, Bishop, Ambrose, Sears.
