Murphy Interesting Hull - Ipswich Town News
Hull City are reported to be showing interest in Town’s Championship top scorer Daryl Murphy.
The Premier League side have lost both Abel Hernandez and Nikica Jelavic to injury and, according to the Irish Independent, view 31-year-old Murphy, who has scored 18 goals so far this season, as a potential replacement.
Manager Mick McCarthy has repeatedly said that he doesn’t expect anyone to be sold during the January transfer window unless the club receives an "astronomical” offer.
Ireland international Murphy signed a new contract until the summer of 2016 with an option for a further season in July and is understood to have already begun talks regarding the extension of that deal.
